Emerson Academy Naples is a free summer academic program aimed at helping high school students improve their ACT and SAT scores and starting the process of applying to colleges and universities. Our goal is to support academically strong minority public school students who happen to come from under-served and under resourced circumstances. Many of our students are likely to be first in their families to attend college or those from ethnic populations that have historically suffered from systemic patterns of discrimination.
About Us
WHAT IS EMERSON ACADEMY?
Emerson Academy Naples offers seminar programs including meetings with college recruiters, career selection, and job interview skills. We help our students plan for college selection as they consider career possibilities in highly compensated professions in STEM fields, business, law, medicine, and other professions leading to economic success and becoming productive citizens. Emerson Academy Naples students embody the American dream that has made this country a leader among nations.
The academy sessions are scheduled over three weeks in July from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. From the end of July through the following January, our faculty is available to work with graduating seniors on college selection decisions, college and scholarship counseling, essay writing, resume preparation, and letters of recommendation where appropriate.
In person classes are held in rental space on the campus of The Unitarian Church at 6340 Napa Woods Way, Naples, FL 34116.
